Set in Orange County, California, and created by Scott Dunlop, it is the first The Real Housewives installment in the franchise.
He must have a few stacks of money stashed somewhere, though, because Gretchen doesn’t play for free.
I think these two are hooking up because Slade thinks of himself as the Orange County player.
Gretchen however tells news that she has been engaged for five months and dating for five years with Slade. Gretchen tells news that she has been married before and that once was enough. But Slade doesn’t want a baby until the couple gets married. On it, Gretchen and Slade will see all the negative press about them (clearly not from LALATE) over the years.
And the couple has to confront the rumors and the allegations.
Slade Smiley, who was shacked up with Jo De La Rosa on previous seasons of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” and tried to help Jo find lasting love on “Date My Ex,” was arrested Friday for “civil contempt,” which usually means non-payment of court fees or child support.
He may have been visiting Gretchen Rossi, who joined the cast of “Housewives” for season four, because Slade was picked up on the same block where Gretchen supposedly lives.
“And if I’m such a nobody why did production call me two months ago and ask me to consider coming back to film with you guys, which I declined.” Rossi further said “Also hate to break it to you Slade & I do not need press, we get plenty of press without discussing you”.
WETV is not part of NBC Universal and represents a network break from Rossi who has remained under NBC channels – like Bravo and Telemundo – in recent years.
I wasn't going to do something just for TV - I wasn't going to do something just to make money.'And Tamra also believed it was the real reason that Gretchen did not invite any of them to her engagement party - with producers denying Gretchen's claim that it was their decision - claiming: 'I think Gretchen didn't invite us because I think she knew we were gonna call bulls*** on it.'Producer Bill Fritz insisted it was not the only attention-grabbing scene that the couple set-up, pointing out that Slade's seemingly extravagant birthday gift of a white Rolls-Royce was equally staged.
Gretchen again teared up as she recalled how she was roundly attacked at the final party and reunion show, saying: 'The bullshit and all the stuff that went down, it literally makes me sick to my stomach.'The crew also recalled with horror at how they had rushed to get footage before the season really began when Vicki Gunvalson's daughter Briana Culberson went into labor - only to realize Vicki was still badly bruised from having just had plastic surgery on her face.
So basically, Slade didn’t really have full custody of his sons like he tried to pretend on the first season of “Housewives.” Neither of his sons, one of which is very ill with a brain tumor, lives with him.
